Jan Perry passed peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of January 7, 2025 with her beloved David at her side. Jan was born on December 9, 1945 in Plain City, Utah to Virginia and Jack Wood.
Jan is survived by her husband David, her daughter Kimberley Rustad (David), her brother Brent Wood (Pamela), Mark Perry (Rhonda), Dacia Collier (Rob) and seven adored grandchildren.
Jan had a head for numbers and enjoyed her work at America First Credit Union becoming a senior Loan Officer and trainer for over ten years. She continued her career at Superior Air Handling Corporation as the Payroll Manager until her retirement in 2010.
Her love for animals, especially “Fred” her cocker spaniel was unmatched. She loved to cook and entertain in her spotlessly clean house. She loved working in the yard and garden. She also loved to go shopping with David and doing various projects around the house. Jan had a triumphant collection of angels that she cherished and proudly displayed in their own special room.
Jan, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother will be missed but not forgotten by all who loved her – especially her distinctive laughter and her infectious smile.
Jan will be memorialized on Friday January 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road Layton, Utah. Friends and family will be welcomed to visit from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service. A luncheon will follow at the Oak Lane Ward Church, 2680 East Cherry Lane, Layton, Utah
