Janice M. Johnson, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024. She was born on August 3, 1940 to the late William and Elizabeth (Raab) Massey.
Janice was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Menasha. On July 6, 1963 she married the love of her life, Dennis Johnson in Appleton, WI. Janice was employed at Miller Electric for many years. After retiring, she continued to serve her community through her volunteer work with the Foster Elementary Boys & Girls Club school program. Janice also volunteered with the school's library and lunch programs which allowed her to see her grandchildren during their school day. Throughout her entire life, Janice was always very active and enjoyed walking anywhere she needed to go. She loved to travel and take trips to the casino with her family and friends. Janice loved Christmas and always made it a point to make it the best for her entire family who will greatly miss her famous Christmas cookies and candies she shared with them every year. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Janice. She truly cherished all the times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren creating lasting memories they will carry with them forever.
Janice is survived by her children: Bonnie (Ron) Johnson and Steve (Deb) Johnson; grandchildren: David (Sarah) Johnson, Cody Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Caitlynn Johnson, and Carleigh Johnson; great grandchildren: Landen and Laurel Johnson; and sisters: Marlene Brunner and Beverly (John) Kobal. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; and children: Scott Johnson and Cheryl Johnson.
A Funeral Service for Janice will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
