Kenneth Paiser Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Valley Funeral Home - Appleton on Feb. 11, 2026.
Kenneth J. Paiser passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of his loving family. Ken's long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia, Parkinson's, and MS came to a rest. He faced his health challenges with the same grit and dignity that defined his entire life.

Born in Shawano, Wisconsin to Gordon Paiser and Shirley Paiser Blum, Ken grew up with the values of the Midwest rooted deep in his soul. After graduating from Marion High School, he proudly served in the Army Reserves. Ken was the epitome of dedication, spending over 50 years as a cornerstone of W.S. Patterson (First Supply). On August 16, 1980, Ken married the love of his life, Barb Stranathan. Together they raised Chad, Shelli, Heather, and Heidi. His passions were simple but profound: hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with his family, and the life-saving gift of being a long-term blood donor.

Ken's legacy lives on through his devoted wife, Barb Paiser (Appleton), and his children who were his greatest pride: Shelli Roovers (Appleton), Heather (Eric) Jackson (Port Washington),Heidi (Philip) Bennett (Appleton), and Chad Paiser (Dale). Ken's spirit will be felt in the laughter of his eight grandchildren: Lyla, Alison (Brett), Jake (Claire), Harper, Finn, Charlie, Tyra, and Shaneesa; and his four great-grandchildren: Dominick, Trey, Griffin, and Apollo.

He is further survived by his sisters, Mary Jo (Terry) Durkee and Karla (Mike) Hintz, and sister-in-law Carolyn Voelz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Paiser, Shirley Paiser-Blum, and Arnold Blum; his brother, Steve Paiser; and an infant sister.

We are forever grateful to Moments Hospice, family and the many caretakers that allowed Ken to remain in his home with dignity and loving care, including Shaneesa, Juanita, Lindsey, Bobbi, Savannah, Eddie, and his little best friend Mateo.

Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Ken's life. Visitation will be held from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond Street, Appleton on Friday, February 13, 2026 with a service immediately following. All who knew and loved Ken are welcome to attend and share in honoring his memory.
