Steven Paiser Obituary

Steven Robert Paiser
December 7, 1951 – January 25, 2026

Steven Robert Paiser - known to many as Paiscar and fondly called "Stevie" by his Aunt Dot - passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at the age of 74. A longtime resident of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, Steve was born on December 7, 1951 in Shawano to Gordon and Shirley Paiser.

Steve graduated from Marion High and proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country as a Radioman in Vietnam - a role he carried with loyalty, courage, and humility throughout his life. Following his military service, he dedicated 27 hardworking years as an industrial plumbing sales representative to W.S. Patterson (First Supply) before finishing his career at Ferguson for nearly 14 years. Those who worked alongside him knew him as loyal, determined, and full of wit - always ready with a quick remark or a smile.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Carolyn (Voelz) Paiser; and his three children whom he adored and took immense pride in: Adam (Jennifer) Paiser, Melissa (Daniel) Blaylock, and Katie Paiser. His ten beloved grandchildren - Julia, Peyton, Cole, Ava, Bella, Aliyah, Chloe, Lizzy, Charley, and Annalise - brought joy and laughter to his heart. Steve is also survived by his siblings: Ken (Barb) Paiser, Mary Jo (Terry) Durkee, Karla (Mike) Hintz; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In his earlier years, Steve took great pride in all the cars he wrecked – a badge of youthful enthusiasm that became legendary family story telling material. He loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing, and boating - and spent many memorable summers camping with family, especially at Castle Campground. He loved to cook, always making enough food to feed an army, and brought his signature humor to every gathering. He was a hands-on guy who could build or fix just about anything. Known for his witty, sarcastic personality, Steve may well have coined the phrase, "If they pick on you, they like you." His quick charm and kind teasing will be missed by all who knew him.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Unity Hospice for their compassionate care in his final days, and to Old Glory Honor Flight for giving Steve the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C., this past September - a trip he truly cherished.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring to honor Steve.

He will be remembered always for his humor, his heart, his devotion to family, and his proud service to his country.

We love you, more!

We lived down the street from each other, went to grade school together in Shawano, deer hunted together in Leopolis, and had a bunch of good laughs. Steve was a joy to be around and always that smile and desire to see "what's around that next corner"?

Whenever I think of Steve, I remember his smile, quick wit and laughter. So funny. He helped me out with some plumbing work at my house just because. He was one of my favorite people and will be sorely missed. Sharon Reader.
