Janice M. Jones was born on August 23, 1955 to the parentage of Frank Cleveland and Onie Mae Jones Wallace. Janice received her formal education in Dallas ISD at Franklin D. Roosevelt HS and attended Bishop College.

Janice worked many years at Parkland Memorial Hospital as a nurse; she also worked for Dallas ISD.

Janice professed her faith and love in Christ and often served at Cornerstone BC of Dallas, Texas.

Janice gave birth to Chautauqua Jones and Michael Jones. Janice was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Janice (Miss Redd) will truly be missed. Janice was an amazing cook and loved having family and friends present. Family gatherings is where her smile and personality resonated and blanketed the atmosphere along with her no nonsense approach.

Janice's journey on earth ceased Friday December 5, 2025 at 7:51 a.m.

Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her parents - Franklin Cleveland and Onie Mae Jones Wallace, son - Michael D. Jones, brothers– Robert C. Jones, Fredrick Tony, Ivis Cleveland, Dawfea Cleveland.

Janice leaves to cherish her memories: daughter- Chautauqua Edwardson (Michael) grandchildren – Keana M. Jones and DeShondria C. Scott, brother Carl Wallace (Lorraine), Derwood Cleveland and Vonda Cleveland, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and close friends.

I praise God for what he has promised; yes, I praise the Lord for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping.

So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life-giving light.

This is not the end but, a glorious new beginning!
