Janice Jundt, 88 of Sioux Falls, formerly of Leola, died August 25. 2025.

She was born March 20, 1937 at Eureka to Emma (Wolff) and Otto Opp. She attended grade school at Odessa #2 and graduated from Eureka High School May 1955. She married Maurice Jundt on September 18, 1955 at Gluckstahl Reformed Church one mile from her family farm. They ranched near Leola until September 1981 and then moved to Sioux Falls. She worked for McGreevy Clinic, Best and Qualified Presort Service.

Survivors include children: Terry (Rachel) Jundt, Cresbard; Marcie Bent, Sioux Falls; Cindy (Larry) Jung, Aberdeen; and Kim (Lora) Jundt, Sioux Falls; Melissa (Faustino) Maravel, Sioux Falls; Tyrell Jundt, Columbia; Jena Gylling, Brandon; Jessie Bent, Sioux Falls; Justin (Karen) Jung, Aberdeen; Daniel ( Jen) Jung, Tea; Lucas Jung, Lenexa, KS; Amanda (Ryan) Janish, Sioux Falls; Ryan (Alex) Jundt, South Saint Paul, MN. Great grandchildren: Evelyn Maravel, Sullivan Jundt, Brayden Gylling, Jaylen Gylling, Jordan Jung, Morgan Jung, Jameson Jung, Eleanor Janish, Samuel Janish, and Henry Janish. Sisters: Doris Moriarty, Brookings; Carolyn Hieb, Rapid City; Karen Weber, Pierre; Della (Doug) Abeln, Groton; Brother Dan (Gayle) Opp, Columbia; Sister-in-law: Lorene Hauck, Aberdeen; Brother-in-laws: Don Kaul, New Richmond, WI and Larry Ritter, Venturia, ND. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters: Marlene, Elizabeth, Susan and brothers: Howard, Ferdinand, Morris.
