Janice Faye Kostecki

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Faye Kostecki, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. Janice peacefully departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at her residence in Aiken, South Carolina. She was 77 years old.
Janice was born on Thursday, October 2, 1947, in the quaint town of Old Mines, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Vincent Coleman and Sarah Elizabeth Coleman. She joins in eternal rest her beloved husband, Steven Michael Kostecki, with whom she shared many years of love and happiness.
Janice was the cherished mother of two daughters, Jeanine Key, and Angeline Wood alongside her husband, Robert. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support also extended to her four cherished grandchildren: Jeff Maxwell, Danny Balch, Tony Kuehnel, Tara Pierce, Cody Wood, and Josh Wood. Additionally, Janice leaves behind three treasured great-grandchildren, Devon Balch, Payson Kuehnel, and Relina Pierce, who will continue to carry her legacy of love forward.
She was the beloved sister of Helen Gennari of St. Louis, Missouri, and Carol Studt of Wappapello, Missouri, who will forever hold dear the memories they shared.
Janice dedicated her life to being a home maker, providing a warm and loving environment for her family. A pioneer in home school education, she bravely chose to educate her daughters at home during a time when it was not commonplace, instilling in them the values of knowledge and curiosity.
Music was an essential part of her life. An accomplished bass guitar player, Janice was a member of the musical group "Jim and Jan," where she sang and played country music bass with heartfelt passion, often accompanied by her daughter on drums.
Those who knew Janice remember her as the most loving and giving person, who cherished her family above all else. Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched many lives.
