Kernersville – Mrs. Janice Floyd Love, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at her home. She was born on September 27, 1941, in Forsyth County to Grady Eugene and Edith Butner Floyd. Janice was an avid Elvis Presley fan, traveling often to Memphis to visit Graceland. She also followed Elvis to many different venues to see him perform. All of her adult life, Janice was a homemaker and took care of her two children. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Morris Floyd.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Love; two daughters, Sharon Love Scates (Dennis) and Caren Love Bullock (husband, Clint); two grandchildren, Corey Bullock (wife, Leah) and Caitlin Kiger; three great grandchildren, Hayden Bullock, Hadley Bullock, and Charlee Kiger; her cousin, Kathy Foster (husband, Keith); niece and nephew, Nikki Flores and Brian Floyd (wife, Valerie); her lifelong friend since the age of 5, Becky Graham; and two sisters-in-law, Lola Redding and Kay Love.
A funeral service for Janice will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Steve Roberson officiating. Friends will be able to view and sign the register one hour prior to the service without the family present. Entombment will follow the service at Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Walkertown. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Janice’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
