Janice Grace Luyet, 76, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, September 9, 2024. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in North Little Rock, and retired from the Department of Parks and Tourism where she worked in accounts payable.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddy Luyet. Survivors include two children: Rev. Gregory T Luyet, of Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law, DeeDee and Steve Perry of Benton; two grandchildren; Monica Springfield and Adam Perry and wife, Gracie; a great granddaughter, Shaylinn Springfield; and one brother, Randy Rainwater and wife Kerry; and one niece Ashleigh Stanley and her husband Marc. In addition she is survived by many friends and family to cherish her memory.
Jan was born in Morrilton, Arkansas to Jack and Grace Rainwater. She graduated from North Little Rock High School. She married her husband, Eddie, in 1967 in Norman, Oklahoma. She worked in accounts payable for Mid-State Automotive Warehouse and Arkansas Parks and Tourism.
Jan loved her family and celebrating family events. Her favorite season was Christmas. She began decorating before Thanksgiving and kept the display up until well into the New Year. One of her hobbies was watching Hallmark Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music throughout the year. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting, caring for her cat, Dora, and spending time with her family.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by a rosary at 7:00 PM, Wednesday September 11, 2024 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 12, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
