Janice Maxwell, 82 of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Parkdale Manor.
Janice was born on June 20, 1942 in Maryville, Missouri to the late Fred and Maxine (Thompson) Pike. She was a graduate of Maryville High School. Following her graduation she worked at Mode Dress Shop in Maryville. She later worked at Hy-Vee as a cake decorator and cleaned houses.
She was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed cake decorating and taught ceramics, when she owned and operated Maxwell Ceramics.
She married Gary A. Maxwell on June 25, 1961 in Maryville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2021.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Carm; grandson, Roy Ashby, two great-grandsons, Damien and Jaden Ashby; sister, Pam (Mark) Welch and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Maxwell has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home.
Memorial Service 10am Saturday, April 26th at Price Funeral Home. Inurnment Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, April 25th at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
