Janice Manda (Edevold) Neill, formerly of Bagley, MN, died Friday, October 10th, 2025, at the McIntosh senior living facility.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church at rural Bagley, MN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Interment will be held at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
Jan was born in Bagley, Minnesota, on June 30th, 1940, to parents Arthur and Alice Edevold at the family home near Bagley. At 9 months old, her family moved to a farm Northeast of Gonvick in 1941. She was baptized at the St Paul Lutheran Church (now Faith Lutheran). She attended the United Lutheran church, where she was confirmed. She attended the Berner Country School for about 5 years, then attended the Gonvick School District and graduated in 1959. Janice married Francis Lien at Duluth, MN, where Francis worked on the boats. Together, they had three children, Steven, Pamela, and Terri Kay. Janice and Francis later divorced. Later, Jan met and married Paul Neill on September 2, 1983, in Bagley; they were married for 37 years. Paul had two daughters - Michelle and Christy. Janice enjoyed gardening, trying new recipes, art, crafts, reading, family gatherings, and traveling in their motor home. She worked at the Clearwater County Hospital in medical records and at the Greensview Nursing Home at Bagley, in the activity department. She also worked at Nortech in Bemidji and at Neill's Plumbing and Heating as the secretary for many years.
She is survived by four children - Steven Lien, Pamela Sharp, Michelle (Dave) Raiter, and Christy Neill. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sister – Gladys (Roger) Edvenson of Grand Rapids, MN, brother - Kenneth (Kathy) Edevold of Bagley, Sister-in-law - Sharon (Denny) Trandem of Bagley,
Numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband-Paul Neill, parents, Arthur & Alice (Nelson) Edevold; Infant daughter - Terri Kay; brothers-Wallace Edevold & Vernon Edevold; sisters-Marion Rude & Linda Sutherland; and son-in-law-Jay Sharp.
