Timothy Joseph "Tim" Qualley

Timothy "Tim" Joseph Qualley, 66, of Bemidji, MN died peacefully surrounded by family Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.
Services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
He was born on August 3, 1959, in Park Rapids, MN, the son of Joseph and Clara (Seitz) Qualley. He was raised near Lake George, MN, and educated in Bagley, and graduating from Park Rapids High School in 1977. He served in the US Army as a Military Police Dog Trainer from 1977 until he was Honorably Discharged in 1980. He went on to attend Bemidji State University and received a Bachelor's Degree in 1989. He worked for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as a Park Worker and Firefighter for a time, and later went on to work for the Minnesota Work Force Center, retiring in 2021. As a veteran he was passionate about Veteran's causes and was involved with the DAV and participated in the annual "Ride For the Troops." He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, trail riding in his Jeep and four-wheelers, spending time in nature and with family and friends. He had a strong love for and deep pride in his two daughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father John Herhusky, sister Margie DeVore, brother-in-law Jack Katzenmeyer, step-brother Vaughn Herhusky.
