Janice (Duttenhefer) Nodland, 73, of Temecula, CA, passed away December 4, 2025 at home with her family.

Janice was born on January 6, 1952 in Richardton, ND to Jacob and Eva (Streifel) Duttenhefer. She was raised and educated in Dodge, ND. She married the love of her life Wayne Nodland and had four daughters, Danielle, Shari, Jacki, and Layne and a son, Scott.

In the summer of 1988, they moved to Temecula, California, where they lived and raised their family for 32 years.

Janice worked for American Contracting as a mechanics helper for twelve years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, reading, watching her stories, spending time with her family, rooting for her Kansas City Chiefs, and scrolling Facebook.

She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on September 25, 2025, where she decided she was going to fight. On October 17, 2025 she was hospitalized from complications from the cancer. She went into hospice on October 25, 2025 where she could be home with her family for the remaining time of her life.

Janice gained her angel wings December 4, 2025. Janice will always be remembered for how she cherished her family and how that love was unwavering.

Janice will be severely missed by her daughters, Danielle Nodland, Temecula, CA, Shari Nodland, Temecula, CA, Jacki (Taylor) Nodland-Hull, Downers Grove, Illinois, and son, Scott Nodland, Temecula, CA; grandkids, Zachary and Nikolas Nodland, Evie, Jadyn, and Freya Nodland-Hull; brothers Winifred (Karen) Duttenhefer, Dodge, ND, Tony (Marilyn) Duttenhefer, Dodge, ND; sisters-in-laws, Arlene Streifel, Bismarck, ND, and Virginia Duttenhefer, Maza, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her daughter, Layne; her parents, Jacob and Eva Duttenhefer; brothers, Micheal, Steven, and Ralph; nephew, Brandon; and niece Sara.

Mom chose not to have a service at this time. However, she has asked to be buried by her parents.
