Janice F. Rauch, affectionately known as "Lash", of Palm, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on September 30, 2025. Born in Seisholtzville, PA, Janice was the daughter of the late William and Christine (Krauss) Greiss.
A 1955 graduate of Boyertown High School, Janice held various positions throughout her working life. She served as a custodian at Upper Perk High School before transitioning into a career as a secretary for both Snyder Insurance and Baringer Insurance, retiring in 2000.
In 1956, Janice married the love of her life, John F. Rauch, and their 60 years together were filled with love and adventure until his passing in 2017. Their shared passion for off-road jeep racing led to many joyful camping trips. Janice found joy in the beauty of nature, often spending time by the creek or tending to her yard.
Janice was not only a devoted wife but also a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Gerhart; her son, Michael Rauch (Debra Sterner); her granddaughters, Stacy Sternat (Mark) and Jenna Gerhart (Vince Salkowski);her grandson, Bryan Sterner (Chelsea); her great-grandchildren, Ava and Luca Sternat; and her sister, Carol Greiss (Maria Church). Family gatherings were always filled with warmth and laughter, as Janice's greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A devoted member of Huff's Union Church, Janice cherished the fellowship she found there, particularly enjoying the church picnics.
