Janice Rosa Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. - Lyndhurst on Aug. 4, 2025.
Janice M. Rosa (nee Cunningham), 73, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Janice was born in Seattle, WA, raised in New Jersey (Colonia and Rutherford) where she attended St. Mary's High School and met her future husband, Richard Rosa. They became high school sweethearts and were married in 1974. They lived in Lyndhurst and Woodridge, before settling in Allendale where she has lived the past 43 years. Janice's strong will and spirit never waivered. From her M.S. diagnosis in 1985 and then again with a breast cancer diagnosis, she fought a long and courageous battle. She remained focused on her husband, her sons and granddaughters, who were the loves of her life. We will continue without, missing her deeply, yet are armored with her spirit and sense of resilience. She will be a part of hearts and memories forever. Janice is survived by her beloved husband, of 51 years, Richard Rosa, her loving sons, Rick & his wife Victoria and Mark Rosa, and dear granddaughters, Tess and Mia, by her sisters and brother, Mary Patricia Healy (Tom), Vincent J. Cunnigham and Diane A. Aussem (Pat). Janice is also survived by her nieces, nephew and loving family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 3 pm - 7 pm. Prayer Service begins at 6:30pm. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in Janice's memory to the M.S. Society or American Cancer Society. Rick, we have just heard the very very sad news of Janice s passing.
She certainly exemplified courage and strength with the challenging
cards, unfairly dealt, of MS and breast cancer.
Condolences to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Tom and Linda Pisarri
