Josephine L. Luongo

Josephine L. Luongo, 84, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Josephine grew up in Lyndhurst before moving to Fairfield where she lived for the past 50 years. She worked as the Secretary to the Horse Racing Commissioiner of NJ at the Meadowlands Racetrack for many years before retiring. Josephine was very well traveled, often taking vacations around the world with her mom, Rose and sister, Maryann. She also enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City. Josephine is survived by her beloved, inseparable sister, Maryann Luongo, by her first cousins, Joann DePaul, Robert Guancione and his wife, Liz, and Honey Servello, and by many more cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10:30 AM - 12 PM. A funeral mass will be offered at Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst at 12:30 PM followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
