Janice S. Schwibbe, 80, passed away at 2:44 am on February 2, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Janice was born on May 8, 1944 in Wheatland, IN the daughter of Rufus and Brenice (Hayes) Frankum. She married Kenneth Leroy Schwibbe on August 24, 1963.
Janice is a member of Oak Grove Church in Reeve Township and she enjoyed sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed helping her husband with the mowing and taking care of their garden.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Schwibbe of Wheatland,IN; son, Troy Schwibbe and his wife Lisa of Montgomery, IN, daughter, Pamela Powell and her husband James of Hobe Sound, FL; grandchildren, Joshua Powell and his wife Mamie, Bethany Peters and her husband Darin, Natalie Schwibbe; great grandchildren, Amelia Peters and Willow Powell. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Brenice Frankum, sister, Mary Mattingly and her brothers, Carl and Donald Frankum.
Friends may visit with Janice's family from 5-8 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025 and from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN 47501. Rev. Danny Gilley, Sr. will officiate and Janice will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery in Reeve Township. The Schwibbe family has requested memorial contributions be made to Oak Grove Church in Reeve Township. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Janice and her family.
