Mrs. Janice M. Torregrossa, 67, of Greenville Township, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY.
Born on January 23, 1958, in Teaneck, NJ, Janice was the daughter of the late Claude G. and Helen Patricia Garreau. On August 12, 1979, she married the love of her life, Peter Torregrossa, in Oakland, NJ, and together they built a life filled with love, devotion, and family.
Janice began her career as a dental assistant in Franklin Lakes, NJ, before dedicating herself to raising her three children at home. Once her children began school, she pursued her entrepreneurial spirit by opening her own home cleaning business. Janice was known for her tireless work ethic, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to her family.
She had a deep love for the outdoors, especially her vegetable garden, and treasured the many family trips to Long Beach Island-cherished escapes where she found peace by the ocean and joy in time spent together.
Janice is survived by her devoted husband, Peter Torregrossa; her three beloved children, Karen LaCenere, Johnny Torregrossa, and Joseph Torregrossa; and her adored grandchildren, John Todd, Cole, Gloria, Ethan, Jayden, Giovanni, Matthew, and Maverik. She also leaves behind her siblings, Diane L'Haridon and her husband Al, Kenny Garreau, Jimmy Garreau, Gordon Garreau and his wife Lorraine and Beverly Garreau, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Garreau, her nephew, Todd Garreau and her niece, Stephanie L'Haridon.
Janice will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the unconditional love she gave to her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.
Cremation will be at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA. Funeral arrangements are by the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis.
