"TOGETHER AGAIN"
Janice A. Vignos, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at her home on July 8, 2025. She was born in Canton, Ohio on October 26, 1937, to parents, Elmer and Geraldine (Horning) Friedmann, who have preceded her in death.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, and infant children; brother, Gerald Friedmann.
She was a 1955 graduate of Central Catholic, was a member of the Elks post 2029 in North Canton, Mercy Nursing Alumni, and an active member of St. Michael Parish for more than 60 years. As a faithful servant, she lived a life filled with warmth and kindness, always putting the needs of others before her own. Having always enjoyed helping others, Janice knew that nursing was her calling. Janice loved her family with all her heart. She never hesitated going to great lengths to show her love and support, and what was really important in life. Her soft-hearted compassion always made people feel welcome.
Janice is survived by her daughters, Julie (Todd) Walton, Terri (Vince) Criswell; Cheryl (Jeff) Davis; son, Jeffrey Vignos; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Linda) Friedmann and many friends who knew just how special she was.
Family and friends will be welcome for visitation on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, St. Michael the Archangel Parish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, with Pastor Reverend Benson Okpara serving as celebrant. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Massillon.
