Janice Adele Williams was born on September 9, 1955, in Pecos, Texas, to the late Frank Williams Sr. and Lee Lillian Williams. She grew up in Pecos, Texas, where her grass roots were established and she excelled academically. After graduating from Pecos High School, Janice attended Sul Ross State University from 1973 to 1976, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in education with honors, and continued her education at the University of Texas in San Antonio from 1984 to 1986, where she obtained her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration. At an early age, Janice accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and was a longtime member of Wheatley Heights First Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX.

After 23 years as Principal, she retired from her beloved Sinclair Elementary School, where they were ALWAYS AT THE TOP! After retirement, Janice enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, going to lunch with her friends and bingo.
