Janice Lee Rose Wingler, 77, of the Pineville-Welch road, passed away, Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Welch Community Hospital following a short illness. Born April 14, 1930 in Davy, she was the daughter of the late Jeston C. Rose and Viola Belle Walker Rose. Mrs. Wingler was a member of the Indian Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, going to church, gardening and being with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, her husband, Luther Wingler, a sister, Iris Rose Green and a brother, Norman Rose, preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Jackie Wingler and his wife, Brenda of Lillydale; two daughters, Anna Kennedy of Welch-Pineville Road and Faye Green and her husband, Gregory of Welch-Pineville Road; two brothers, Ray Rose and his wife, Carol of Princeton and Calvin Rose and his wife, Opal of North Carolina; four sisters, Garnett Gullett of Premier, Eunice Thomas of Rock House, Hazel Lambert of Brier Creek and Wilma Pack and her husband, Burnett of Woodbridge, VA; three grandchildren, Drema and Todd Lester of the Welch-Pineville Road, Alicia and Kevin Tabor of Pineville and Gregory and Heather Green of Coal Mountain; a great-grandson, Branson Tabor; a stepgranddaughter, Amy and Jeff Lester Sell of Lynco; and stepgrandchildren, Jay Tabor, McKenzie Sell, Logan, Dakota and Madison Brown.
