Vancleave, Mississippi - Janice Elaine Winterstein, age 74, passed away on July 31, 2021 in Ocean Springs.
Elaine was a lifelong resident of D'Iberville, and more recently a resident of Vancleave.
She was born to William and Clara Graves in Biloxi in 1947. She attended D'Iberville High School where she enjoyed being Homecoming Maid and graduated in the Class of 1965.
Elaine was a proud homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and tending to her flowers. She was of Catholic faith and a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marlene Pickard; brother, Dane Graves; and granddaughter, Emilee Landry.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 56 years, Wesley Winterstein; three children, Rodney Winterstein (Rhonie) of Grand Bay, AL, Monica Puzz (Barry) of Vancleave, Jeremy Winterstein of Vancleave; siblings, Lois Belvel (Dick), Billy Graves (Melinda), Sheila Gillies (Bill); three grandchildren, Olivia Wieniewitz (Devin), Paige Landry, Matthew Winterstein; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all of those who prayed for Elaine and that her soul is safe in the hands of the Lord.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 4900 Riley Rd. Ocean Springs, MS. Burial will be held at Coalville Cemetery at a later date.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. West Jackson County served the family.
