Janice K. Wittenberg-Holmes, who departed this life on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the age of 89, in Chesterfield, Michigan. Janice was born on, February 10, 1936, in Webster City, Iowa, to the late Edward F. and Doris Mae (Mallo) McCoy.
Janice was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Wittenberg and the late George Holmes, sharing loving years with both of them. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Doris (Mark) Babich and Ronald (Kim) Wittenberg. As a proud grandmother, she relished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Megan (Amos) Dodson, Janice Babich, and cherished memories with the late Jenna Wittenberg. Janice was a loving sister to the late Bob (Shirley) McCoy and the late Don McCoy, Special daughter to the late Eugen Beauchene and she is survived by numerous family members who will continue to honor her memory.
Among Janice's heartfelt wishes was her hope for memorial donations to be directed to the Detroit Humane Society in her memory, a testament to her lifelong love and compassion for animals. Donations can be made at www.michiganhumane.org.
A private family celebration of Janice's life will be held this summer. Her loving spirit, resilience, and kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
Janice K. Wittenberg-Holmes lived a life full of love, laughter, and service. May she rest in peace, her legacy living on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
