Janie Wendleton was born on November 26, 1949, in the small town of Humansville, Missouri. From a young age, her kind spirit and sharp wit shone through, leaving lasting impressions on everyone who had the joy of knowing her. She graduated from Truman High School, where she began building the foundation for a life full of hard work, dedication, and love.
Janie devoted 32 years of service to the IRS, where her professionalism and strong work ethic earned the respect and friendship of many. Her career was marked not only by her commitment to excellence but also by the genuine care and humor she brought into the workplace. After retiring, Janie embraced a life filled with simple joys—cherishing time with loved ones, tending to her dogs, watching movies with her husband, Gary, and filling every gathering with laughter and adventure.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary, two beloved nieces, two great-nephews, and one great-niece, all of whom were touched by her warmth and vibrant personality. Janie’s legacy lives on through the laughter she inspired, the love she gave freely, and the memories she helped create. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
