Janine was born October 21, 1965, in Norwalk California her aspirations early in life were to become a marine biologist she happily traded that for a life as a wife and mother which she thrived at, she cared for her husband during his illness for a number of years until his passing working 3 jobs and always caring for her children with a passion. Janine was full of life even in her toughest days but brought a glowing beam of light in a lot of people's darkest days.
This just a few words to describe Janine and how everyone felt about her, Janine was loved by many and had many interest art being one of them she loved to paint bottles, rocks, deer heads, or whatever caught her eye she loved poker oh boy did she love poker she loved when poker day rolled around being able to go see and visit with her poker family meant the world to her Chris and Slim you will never know how happy you made her when you would call her to deal she loved fishing she would ask anyone to go fishing she gave a fishing report to her coworkers every Monday morning meeting she also loved to go on cruises where she made friends every time she got on a ship she would take little ducks to hide and she would look for them as well and when she returned she would tell everyone about the ducks she found but most of all she loved her children Danielle and Christopher more than this world.
Janine worked at the water department as the executive assistant to the director Laura Briefer. Janine always said Laura changed her life when she hired her and was grateful for the opportunity to serve the public, she made many friends there and looked forward to going there every day.
Janine was proceeded in death by: John Calfo husband of 26 years, her mother Della Perez, and father Dan Teissler
Survived by: Danielle Calfo (Richard), and Christopher Calfo.
A special thank you to all who helped in this time of need (Laura, Chris, Slim) you touched her life tremendously you gave her hope and life, writing this story was an honor and I hope that all the love she spread throughout all of you spreads like a wildfire, touch someone, hug someone, love someone and as for me I'm all in like I would always say to her.
