Janine Trubatch (nee Lewis), 89, of St. Petersburg, Florida and a former resident of Norton and Barberton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, after a short illness. Janine was preceded in death by her parents, Magdelena Rhein and Johnnie "Whitey" Lewis; her beloved husband, Milan Trubatch; sisters, Margaret McArthur and Genevieve Welsh and grandchildren, Jacob & Tyler Trubatch. Janine is survived by her children, Terry (Debbie) Trubatch of Jackson Township, Ohio, Deanne Trubatch of St. Petersburg, Florida and her cherished granddaughter, Marissa Trubatch of Jackson Township, Ohio. Janine retired from KeyBank and filled her retirement years with the things she loved most. She was an avid traveler who proudly visited all fifty states, a lifelong puzzle enthusiast who especially enjoyed crossword puzzles, and a talented crocheter. She was dedicated to giving back, supporting a variety of charities and community organizations throughout her life. She was also deeply devoted to her family and friends, especially her lifelong Norton and Sherman classmates, and she will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her quick wit, and the joy she brought to those around her. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Emanuel United Church of Christ (16 Eastern Road, Doylestown, Ohio 44230). Memorial service officiated by Rev. Gaye Santoro will begin at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (2580 Romig Road, Akron, Ohio 44320).
