A Visitation will be held at the Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 9:00 A.M to 10:00 P.M. on October 31, 2023. There will be a funeral service beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Janis was born August 21, 1936 in Hettinger, ND to Reue Eck and Tilda Eck. On December 19, 2015, she married Walter DeVisser in Bangor, Michigan.
Janis enjoyed her collection of fairy gardens and gnomes. She obtained a piolet license and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints.
Janis is survived by her husband Walter DeVisser, children, Tammy Speth(Mark) of Indianapolis, IN, Zina Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID, Regina(Scott) Lopilato of Commerce City, CO, sister, Twyla of New Hampshire, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Janis was preceded in death by her father, Reue Eck and her mother, Tilda Eck, five brothers and sister, Karen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel of Starks Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 269-637-0333.
