Janis Marie Vawter

Janis Marie (Quick) Vawter, age 75, of Malvern, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was born July 29, 1950, to the late Billy and Lorene (Parish) Quick. She worked for many years at the Summit Bank Operation Center in Malvern. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Janis enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joy Chitwood.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Vawter to whom she had been married for 54 wonderful years; daughter, Angela Marie Sled (Steven) of Malvern; grandchildren, Lacey Marie Kettell (Brandon) and Cole Sled (Emily); great-grandchildren, Kennedy Marie, Harper, and Landry; sister, Linda Quick Finney (Randy) of Glen Rose; sisters-in-law Lisa Sigman (Dennis), Katie Hughes, and Twyla Plyler (Johnny); special nieces, Cari Cheatham (Brett) and Jessica Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Regency Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will be Thursday, February 5, at 10:00 AM at Oakridge Cemetery with Brother John Chandler officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers are James and Jace Cheatham, Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Purifoy, and the staff of Malvern Family Medical Clinic.
