Jann Longmire

Jann (Daniels) Longmire-age 65 of Blaine passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, August 10, 2023. She was a member of Taylors Grove Baptist Church in Sharps Chapel. She graduated from Horace Maynard High School class of 1975 and then went onto Lincoln Memorial University and got her associate degree in nursing. She worked in home health and later for Dr. Lee at Gastrointestinal Associates. After retiring she worked at Flowers by Bob with her long-time friend Bob Sharp. Jan was a 5-year breast cancer survivor and loved the old way of life, her garden and flowers she grew. Her spirit will live on in those she loved and left behind. Preceded in death by her parents, Bonder and Ruth Daniels; best friend, Phyllis Tharpe.
She is survived by husband of 37 years, Jeff Longmire; daughter, Starla; grandson, Paxton; sister, Charlotte Daniels; brothers, Kevin (Rita) Daniels, Darrell (Linda) Daniels and many nieces and nephews. She is an adventurous spirit much like the native indians who she felt so close to. May she fly free until we see her again.
Burial 4 PM Friday, August 11, 2023, in Longmire Family Cemetery near the family home. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
