Jared T. Aukerman, 27, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Greenville, died as the result of a car accident on March 22, 2025.
Jared was born June 23, 1997, in Greenville, to the late Laura A. McGriff and Kyle Aukerman.
In addition to his mother, Jared was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David L. McGriff, of Greenville.
In addition to his father, Jared is survived by his maternal grandmother, E. Marlene McGriff, of Greenville; his paternal grandmother, Lisa (Gary) Besecker and his paternal grandfather, John (Heidi) Aukerman, all of Greenville; his aunts and uncles, Denise (Shawn) Fourman, Nathan (Leanna Coby) McGriff, Kathy Besecker, Briana McDonald, all of Greenville, and Jay Aukerman, of Celina. He is also survived by his cousins Alexis (Marvin) Epperson; Caitlin (Seth Bunger) Fourman, Union City, OH; Brady McGriff and Adalyn McGriff, Kylie McDonald, Christian Aukerman, Zakk Aukerman, and Zoe Aukerman. Jared will also be missed by his Louisville family: Matt, Valerie, Tyler (Haley) and Kaiden Crowell.
Jared was a 2016 graduate of Greenville High School. After graduation, he moved to Louisville, where he attended Jefferson Community and Technical College. He was a trained EMT and made his living working in EMS and in various other jobs.
Jared loved his cats and his dog, finding joy and companionship in their presences. An avid sports fan, he enthusiastically supported his favorite teams. His passion for Mustang cars was well-known; he admired their classic design and powerful performance, much like the vibrant energy he brought to every aspect of his life.
As we remember Jared, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, love, and passion in our own lives. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Jared’s Life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Pastor Tony Price will officiate.
Family and friends may visit with the family from 12:00 PM to the start of the service on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the funeral home.
