Jared C. Riso, 26, of Uvalde passed away on October 20, 2024, at Methodist Metropolitan Hospital in San Antonio.
He was born on June 5, 1998, in Uvalde to Nora (Mejia) and Joe Riso, Jr.
He is survived by his loving mother, Nora Mejia of Uvalde; grandmother, Noemi Mejia of Uvalde; his stepdaughter, Makynzie Torres; his brother, Jim Aviles, Jr., and sister-in-law, Kriselda, all of Uvalde; his devoted girlfriend, Keshia Velasquez; as well as his cherished aunt, Rubi Casarez; two uncles, Joe Casarez of Abeline and Manuel Riso and wife, Rachel of San Antonio; and cousins, Sebastian Casarez and Anissa Casarez. Jared also leaves behind his adored nephews, Darian, Liam, and Noah Aviles all of Uvalde.
He is preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Joe Ray, Sr. and Maria Riso; maternal grandfather, Celedonio Mejia; and Baby Riso.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A funeral service to honor his memory will take place on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Templo Cristiano Church, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim Aviles, Jr., Bash Casarez, Joey Rodriguez, Mario Guzman, Mark Garcia, Frankie Velasquez, Alfred Velasquez, and Jacob Hernandez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darian Aviles and Liam Aviles.
