COZAD - Jared N. Sutton, 49, of Cozad, Nebraska passed away at home on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Memorial service will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2024, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard. Interment will follow at Harvard Cemetery. Jared was born June 7, 1974, in Grand Island, NE to James & Roberta (Hanson) Sutton. He spent his childhood in Grand Island attending West Lawn Elementary & graduated from Central Catholic Jr-Sr High School in May 1993.
During high school he was involved in football, basketball, and track. He competed in the AAU Junior Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. He was very athletic, creative, and artistic. After high school he had many different construction and handyman jobs in Florida, Missouri & Nebraska. He loved his family and especially his niece & nephews.
He is survived by his faithful dog, Jazzy; father, James of Omaha, NE; sisters: Kristen (David) Diaz of Bennington, NE, Heather (Waco) Riblett of Omaha, NE; brother, Shawn (Cindy) Sutton of Bennington, NE; niece, Joselyn Diaz; nephews: Ben & Joe Sutton, Ryan, Tyler & Joshua Riblett, & Elijah Diaz; aunts and cousins.
Jared was preceded in death by his mother; and brother, Mark; paternal grandparents, Lester & Evelyn (Fitzke) Sutton; maternal grandparents, Albert & Lorene (Rinke) Hanson; and aunts & uncles.
