Jared Adam Thrapp

Jared Adam Thrapp was a devout husband, father, son, and friend. He was born June 14, 1979, in Macomb, Illinois. Jared entered the eternal kingdom of God on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in Branson, Missouri.
Throughout his life, Jared often talked about the joy of growing up in his great-grandmother's kitchen, where a passion for cooking great food was born. He pursued a degree in culinary arts and mid-management marketing, where he lived out his dream to share great food with people daily. At home, Jared could often be found in the kitchen, cooking with his wife and children, experimenting with new recipes, and perfecting old ones.
Jared never met a stranger, always had a smile, and found great joy in cooking and feeding everyone. He loved hiking, biking, and camping with his family and friends. In his spare time, Jared also enjoyed time with his children along with designing, building, and painting 3D terrain pieces for tabletop games.
Jared's faith and family meant the world to him. He never put anything, even his love for cooking, before his family. No one will ever be able to fill Jared's shoes. We are confident in our faith that he is resting in eternal glory with Christ, holding his son Riley as he watches over us.
Jared is survived by wife of nineteen years, Heather Ann (Bell) Thrapp; children: Gerald Corwin Thrapp III, Elizabeth Ruth Ann Thrapp, Noah Adam Thrapp; parents: Evan and Benjie Rae Henke & Kris and Gerald Thrapp Jr; and siblings: John (Tina) Thrapp, Alyssa Joyce "AJ" Thrapp, Eric Henke, Chris (Shannon) Henke.
He is preceded in death by son, Riley James Thrapp.
There will be a Celebration of Life held 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. on August 10, 2024, at College of the Ozarks Keeter Center Royal Oak Forum, 1 Opportunity Ave, Point Lookout, Missouri, with refreshments to follow celebration. There will be an additional Celebration of Life held in Blandinsville, Illinois on August 24, 2024, visitation 9:30 a.m., celebration 11:00 a.m. with meal to follow, Blandinsville First Christian Church, 230 W Washington St, Blandinsville, Illinois.
