Mary Ellen Stevens, age 75, of Blue Eye, Missouri, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on January 31, 2026. She entered this life September 7, 1950, in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur and Mildred (Miller) Hawley. She was joined in marriage June 7, 1969, to Dennis William Stevens. They shared 46 years together until his passing. Her husband Dennis and her parents have preceded her in death.

Mary graduated from Napoleon High School in 1968, where she played basketball, was head cheerleader, and homecoming queen. She was an accomplished piano player and enjoyed traveling the world in search of her next adventure. In her later years, Mary traveled to Michigan and Florida to visit those most dear to her heart, her family. She spent her final three years enjoying lake life with her family in Blue Eye. The fond memories of her will be cherished by her loving family for many years.

Mary is survived by her children: Corinna Stevens and husband Brian Long of Colorado, Denise Nyan Stevens of Branson, Missouri, and Dennis Stevens II and wife Kendra of Blue Eye, Missouri; her two precious grandchildren: Isaac Stevens and Rylee Stevens of Blue Eye, Missouri; her two sisters: Carmen Tallman and husband Richard of Napoleon, Michigan, Becky Wilson of Jackson, Michigan; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 9, 2026, in Oak Grove Cemetery, Napoleon, Michigan, with Pastor Dave Schwartz officiating. A celebration of life from 12:00-2:00 PM at Bone Island Grille, Jackson, Michigan, will follow her graveside service.
