Doyle Coffelt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremations of the Ozarks - Hollister on Mar. 13, 2026.
Doyle "Bruce" Coffelt, age 84, of Kirbyville, Missouri, passed away March 11, 2026. He entered this life on October 14, 1941, the son of Ray Coffelt and Beulah (Shahan) Coffelt in Sanger, California. Bruce was joined in marriage to Rose Ella Hembree, who passed away November 13, 2000.

With a gregarious soul, Bruce's friendly nature quickly turned strangers into friends through his jokes and kindness. He had a deep love for horses, joined saddle clubs, and over the years he amassed an impressive collection of spurs. Bruce and Rose regularly frequented flea markets and antique stores, demonstrating a keen eye for deals and treasures. He excelled as a woodworker and was passionate about his craft. Everyone who knew him will cherish the memories and experiences shared during his remarkable life.

Bruce is survived by his sons: Duane Coffelt and wife, Tammie of Walnut Grove, Missouri, and Kevin Coffelt and wife, Tina of Kirbyville, Missouri; six grandchildren: Tasha Hopkins, Caleb Coffelt, Kasey DelCour, Bailey Coffelt, Chaelyn Davis, and Megan Morgan; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers: Mike and significant other, Linda and Dusty Coffelt and wife, Diana; as well as numerous extended family members and friends created throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Coffelt; sister, Diantha Coffelt; parents; and infant brother, Joel.

There will be a private family gathering held at Lewallen Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
