Jareth Lassalle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Perry Funeral Home - Newark on Mar. 19, 2026.
JJ was called Home by our Heavenly Father on March 6th, 2026. We are left to hold in our hearts the wonderful times we had together. This has truly broken our hearts.

Jareth Joshua Lassalle was born on June 12th, 2001 to Deborah Elia Ole-Medukenya. JJ was born at Salma Kafir Medical Clinic in Islamabad, Pakistan.

JJ was the only child for his mother and father, the first grandchild, the first nephew and first stepson.

JJ received his high school diploma from Chindlers Academy in Newark, NJ. Before falling ill, JJ worked at UPS Store and later at the Weequahic Golf Course in Newark, NJ.

JJ loved art, video games, and most of all music! He would spend hours listening to all genres of music. His favorite artist was Kendrick Lamar. From time to time he would take breaks to play video games like Apex Legends with his online community and express his artistic side with his various paintings! He enjoyed trying new foods, cooking and loved anything with curry in it. He also loved talking with his old friends back in Tanzania where he grew up. He was an animal lover and had several pets throughout his life including a dog (Brown), cats and rabbits! He also had an eye for fashion and looked up to the late artist Virgil Ablo for inspiration in his drawings and paintings!

JJ was preceded in death by: his great grandmother, Doris Ramlakhan; his great grandfather, Francis Roberts; his grandfather, Andre Lassalle; his great grandmother, Wilma Roberts, and his grandmother, Neema Ole-Medukenya.

JJ is survived by: his mother, Deborah Elia Ole-Medukenya; his father, Adrian Lassalle; his grandmother, Joan Lassalle; his stepmother, Farah Lassalle; his Aunt, Judith E. Ene Medukenya; and his cousins, Nathan Barraud, Nyanzala Masonga, and Samike Masonga.
