Jarred Smith, age 55, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed from this earthly life on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Born on April 15, 1970, the son of Leroy and Caryle Jean (Peak) Smith. He attended Pleasant Hill School in Marshalltown until his last two years of education, then graduating from Marshalltown High School. After high school he started working at Pizza Hut, then Mid-Iowa Workshop, later known as the Career Development Center and lastly at REM until his passing.
Jarred liked watching wrestling, all three of the Iowa teams play, Entertainment News (Trump fan), and TV shows like The Good Doctor, all of the CSI shows and their different locations, and Walker Texas Ranger.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers Robert (Monica) Smith of Marshalltown, Eric (Deborah) Smith of Melbourne; niece and nephew Lucas and Hope Smith and Justin Rieks, as well as many other family and friends.
In death, Jarred rejoined his parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 18, 2025, (PLEASE NOTE DATE) at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. For condolences, please visit [email protected] Ph. 641-844-1234.
