Jarrod Pringle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ames Monument & Cremation Center on Jan. 31, 2026.
Jarrod J. Pringle was born on January 26, 1969, at Hamilton County Hospital-now known as Van Diest Medical Center-in Webster City, Iowa. He was the youngest of six children. Jarrod was raised in Stanhope and attended South Hamilton schools through the 10th grade.

Throughout his life, Jarrod held a variety of jobs, with his primary work being masonry. He spent most of his career working on residential properties for homeowners throughout the county and across Iowa and Missouri.

Outside of work, Jarrod could often be found fishing along the many water access points of the Des Moines and Boone Rivers in Hamilton, Boone, and Webster counties. He was rarely without a couple of poles set up, always hoping to reel in the biggest catfish. Jarrod wore his heart on his sleeve and was known for his willingness to help anyone in need. If he had the ability or means, he would do whatever he could.

Jarrod is survived by his twin sons, Brandon and Josh Pringle; his daughter, Lauren Pringle; four grandchildren; and his siblings, Jamie, Amy, Shila, Chris, and Kim Olson.

Although Jarrod's passing was unexpected and far too soon, those who knew him were aware that his health had declined in recent years. Still, he was much too young to be taken, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Jarrod passed away on his birthday, January 26, 2026, at approximately 4:30 a.m. at Mary Greeley Medical Center, surrounded by many of his family members. He was 57 years old.
