Jason Keeter Obituary

Jason Paul Keeter, of Longmont, CO, passed away on January 15th, 2024 at Boulder Foothills Community Hospital. He was 43. Born in Boulder on December 19th, 1980 to parents Paul Keeter and Carlene King, Jason grew up in the city of his birth. After high school, he began his career in pipeline construction for Keeter, Twin Peaks, and Molsted. Tragically, Jason suffered an accident in 2011 which left him Quadriplegic. Through immense effort with the guidance of therapists, Jason was able to regain some function in his arms and hands. This allowed him the opportunity to help his dad's business as a social media publicist, giving him a purpose in an area he truly enjoyed. Jason was endlessly fascinated with construction trucks and excavating equipment; after his accident, he maintained a strong social media presence. Beyond this, Jason was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved kids, as well as spending time with friends and family, and he counted himself blessed to have so many family members who cared deeply about him. Jason is survived by his grandmother, Joy Keeter, his parents, Paul Keeter and Carlene King, and many members of their extended family. He was predeceased by his brother, Travis King, and his grandparents, Harley Keeter, Jr., Jim Hanafin, and Sharon Hanafin. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Valmont Presbyterian Church (3262 N. 61st St., Boulder, CO 80301). Reception to follow. Instead of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Craig Hospital Neurorehabilitation (craighospital.org...then Rehabilitation Services...then Donate). The Keeter, King, and Hanafin families thank you for your kind words and heartfelt remembrances during this time of unbelievable grief.

I was fortunate to have met Jason, only somewhat recently.
He was my friend, my confidante, & my strength.
He will forever be in my heart.

Jason was a neighbor of mine for several years, and we got to know more about each other last year. He was strong, positive, focused on his faith, and loved his family and his adorable Bearded Dragon named Gator. Jason also loved his many tattoos, and the Denver Broncos. It's sad to know he has passed and will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.
