Jason John Lear

Somersworth, NH – Jason John Lear, age 49, of Somersworth, passed away on November 12, 2025 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover.
He was born in Portsmouth, NH on February 25, 1976, beloved son of Susan L. Sinclair, of Berwick, ME and John Calvin Lear. He graduated from Portsmouth High School, class of 1995.
As an employee, he took pride in being a good worker. Of his many jobs, he loved driving all over New England delivering medical equipment.
Jason was a big fan of the Boston Bruins and N.E. Patriots. He loved playing cards and going fishing. He was always kind to animals and loved his cat BooBoo to the moon and back.
Jason had an incredible sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He cared about people and had a big heart that will be sorely missed.
Besides his mother, Susan, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Gordon & Kelley Lear of Sarasota, FL, and their son, Finnegan; a sister, Sharon Lear of NH; also several aunts, uncles & cousins.
SERVICES – A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 at 1:00pm at St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 Chapel St. in Portsmouth. Interment is Private. Arrangements in care of the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home - Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, NH.
