It is with great sorrow to announce the sudden passing of Jason Webster Lightsey, age 53, of Chandler, Texas on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. Jason was born July 23, 1972 in Trinity, Texas to parents, Michael Cole Lightsey and Linda Beth English Lightsey. Jason was a graduate of Madisonville High School and retired from TDCJ after 32 years of service. He enjoyed watching football and golf, loved to travel and try all the new foods. Jason also loved to swap stories and he always had a handshake, hug, or a pat on the back for friends and strangers alike. He always found a way to have a good time wherever he went.
Those he loved, he loved with his whole heart.
Jason is the cherished husband of Amy Lightsey of Chandler; stepdad to, Jace LaBarge and Blair of Baton Rouge, LA, Cale LaBarge and Jessica of the Woodlands; he is an amazing, adored, and loved Poppa to Jaxon, Finn, and Lucas; father, Mike Lightsey and wife, Mary Ann of Crockett; brother, Shane Lightsey and wife, Cindy of Pennington; sister, Lori Stevenson and husband, Kurt of Trinity; mother-in-law, Regena Paulson of Chandler; nieces, Megan Lightsey Suggs of Groveton, Ashley Crawford and Ben of Groveton, Haley Lightsey of Pennington; nephew, Hunter Smith and Micayla of Huntsville; several other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Linda Beth Lightsey; grandparents, Doris English, Dana Lightsey, and John Webster Lightsey.
He may be gone from our sight, but never gone from our hearts. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
Memorial services for Jason Webster Lightsey will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 15, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.

So sorry for your loss. Mike, father of Jason, is my cousin on my Mother´s side of our family. My Mama, Mary Ethel Lightsey Sadler, was Uncle Bo´s sister.
Mike, though we haven´t been in touch for literally several decades, I can assure you that I know the grief you are feeling (I lost a son at birth) but the intensity you feel is so much deeper because of the years that you all had together. Nonetheless, the loss of your child leaves a "Jason" sized hole in your heart that only GOD and you know.
Prayers for comfort and peace, for healing as you grieve; and please know that your family sends you much love.
Your cousin, Cynthia Sadler Smith
