Jason Charles Messick, age 48, of
Pensacola, Florida, passed away on January 12, 2026. He was born on August 22, 1977, in
Pensacola, Florida.
Jason was a graduate of Northeast Christian School, where he proudly played on the varsity basketball team. Following high school, he built a strong work ethic that carried throughout his life. He worked for Woerner Landscape of Pensacola for more than ten years, where he was known as a faithful, dependable, and hardworking employee.
Jason had a deep love for sports. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially devoted to Jimmie Johnson, car #48. He was a diehard supporter of Florida State and the Dallas Cowboys Football, and he also enjoyed watching baseball, cheering faithfully for the Atlanta Braves. Much of his free time was spent watching sports and NASCAR, passions that brought him joy and comfort.
Family meant everything to Jason. He shared a close and lasting bond with his cousins that began in childhood and continued well into adulthood. Those relationships were a meaningful and cherished part of his life.
Jason was known for his kind heart and compassionate spirit. He cared deeply for others and was always willing to show understanding and kindness. Above many other things, Jason was known for his style - you could almost always find him wearing a pair of fresh kicks, something that perfectly reflected his personality.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Lileah Messick; his parents, Chuck and Susie Messick; his sister, Christy Gardner, and brother-in-law, Jesse Gardner; his beloved triplet nephews, Jase, Reed, and Grant Gardner; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
