Charles Harmon Simmons

Charles Harmon Simmons, age 55, of Pensacola, passed away on February 2, 2026. He was born in Ocala to Charles and Joy Simmons.

Charles grew up in the Pensacola and Gulf Breeze areas from 1975 onward and attended Gulf Breeze High School.

He later married Robyn, and together they were blessed with their son, Nicholas, who was the pride and joy of his life.

Charles worked as both a pool installer and a roof installer, known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he found great peace and happiness working in the garden alongside his mother. He also had a deep love for deep-sea fishing and treasured time spent on the water. He enjoyed playing the drums as a hobby and found joy in music. He also loved watching NASCAR and spending time cheering on his favorite drivers. Above all else, Charles cherished family gatherings and the moments spent surrounded by those he loved.

He was a Christian man who was born again during the Brownsville Revival, an experience that deeply shaped his faith and life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Simmons, and by his mother and stepfather, Joy and James Walker.

Charles is survived by his beloved son, Nicholas; his five sisters; his two brothers; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will continue to honor his memory.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted with his medical care. Charles will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
