Jason Thomas Obituary
Jason Daniel Thomas, 26, of North Garden, left this earth as the result of a tragic accident on Sunday, July 17, 2011.
He was born on June 25, 1985, to Jay and Cindy Thomas.
Jason graduated from Monticello High School in 2004. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and his daughter, Grace, the love of his life.
Jason was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and working on his trucks.
He is survived by his daughter, Grace Nicole Thomas, and her mother, Amber Mawyer; his parents, Jay and Cindy Thomas; sister, Amy Thomas and her fiance, Corey Hunt; and a little brother, Tyler Thomas. Also surviving him are his paternal grandparents, Frances and Julian "Buddy" Thomas; and his maternal grandparents, Louise "Peewee" and Cecil Garrison.
Jason was loved by all who knew him and leaves behind many close friends, among them Charles "Dean", Matt Darnell, Cedric Whindleton and Kevin Pleasants.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Mount Olivet Church, 2500 Old Lynchburg Road, North Garden, Virginia, with Buddy Thomas and Jack Houchens officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church social hall.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Thomas Fund c/o Amy Thomas, 3177 Red Hill Road, North Garden, VA 22959.

Jay and Cindi, Amy and Tyler, and the rest of Jason’s family, my heart goes out to you. Jason was truly a gentle giant, always with a smile on his face, a story to tell, and willing to give a helping hand to anyone. You raised a man and the loss of him on this earth will be felt by many.

Jason (meat runner ) thomas was a great friend , and co worker . Food lion will not be the same and does not matter which one you go to because if you look close enough you will be able to tell that a big man is missing . RIP Big Guy .
