On November 16, 2024, our beloved Jasper Robert (Bob) Nabors of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Judy; his children Gwen (Keith), Wade (April),
Dean; his grandchildren Jacob, Jennifer, Amber, Katie, DJ, Kasie and many great grandchildren, and his dear brother Kenneth Nabors. Bob was preceded in death by his sisters Carol and Sharon, his grandson Kyle.
Bob was born November 6, 1938, in Hanover, Alabama to Roy and Margaret Nabors. He had many fond memories of his childhood in Hanover before moving to Orlando in his junior year where he attended and graduated from Boone High School. At 19 he was hired by McCree General Contractors & Architects where he became a superintendent and worked for many years. Bob then formed and ran J.R. Nabors Waterproofing, Inc., for 28 years, after which he retired.
Bob was active at Goss Memorial Methodist Church and taught Sunday School there. He was an avid outdoorsman all his life enjoying boating, fishing and hunting in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.
Services will be held Saturday November 23, 2024, at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32806. Viewing begins at 10:00 a.m. with service to follow.
Memorial donations may be made in the name of Bob Nabors to the charity or organization of your choice.
