Mr. Jasper Odis Peterson, 85, passed away on September 19, 2025, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.
Mr. Peterson was born April 7, 1940, in Big Springs, TX. He worked in construction most of his life as a heavy equipment operator. He lived most of his life in Louisiana, and had been in Louisville for the past 12 years to be close to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvia Elizabeth and Odis Parker Peterson; and a son, Jasper Peterson, Jr.
He is survived by six daughters, Cindy Horton of Rockport, TX, Kay Williams, Suette Frazier, and Shawna Nails, all of Louisville, MS, Candy Bryson of Hohenwald, TN, and Joanie Burns of Tuscambia, AL; 10 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Peterson will be held at a later date in Louisiana.
