Javara W. Porterfield

Javara Porterfield entered into eternal rest on January 11th, 2026. Born on August 11th to the late Rosza Porterfield and Bobby Porterfield.

Javara graduated from Bishop Maginn High School. She also attended and graduated from Nursing School eventually becoming a certified nurse.

She worked for the state for many years. She loved what she did as a profession, she would start her day early and end it late. She was very much dedicated to her job and the work she did.

Javara loved family gatherings and spending time with her loved ones. In her free time, she could be found with them, and always listening to Mary J. Blige. Her zest for life was evident, always full of energy and willing to lend a helping hand. She had a great sense of humor that was out of this world and could make anyone laugh.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter, who loved us all, especially her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Bobby and Rosza Porterfield, Javara was predeceased by her beautiful, beloved daughter, Aaliyah, who is missed and loved very much.

Javara is survived by her beloved children, Rae-Quan Fallen, Mon'et Porterfield, John Porterfield and Bri’yah Crumble. Her cherished grandchildren, E’Niyah and Zy’Arr Perry. Her loving sisters, Tyeshia Muniz, Molana Porterfield, Adika Porterfield, and Mikko Porterfield. As well as her nieces and nephews, Genia, Jani, Jaymeer, Janon, Ty’lan, and Ja’tai.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10 to 11 AM with a service to immediately follow at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205.
