Javier Andrade, 82, of Kerrville, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, surrounded by his family in his home.

Javier was born on May 20, 1943, to Pilar Andrade in Durango. The family later relocated to Kerrville where Javier worked as a rancher for Camp La Junta for over 40 years. Javier was a pillar of his community, in both Kerrville and Hunt. He lived in Texas when he met the love of his life, Elena Ozuna.

Javier loved to fish and watch his Dallas Cowboys. He always looked forward to every year, for the start of the Dallas Cowboy's season.

Javier was preceded in death by his mother, sister and two brothers.

Javier is survived by his son, Javier A. Andrade, Jr. and wife Andromeda Vega Rubio; stepsons, James Ozuna and wife Tawnya, Ralph Ozuna and wife Diana, Alex Ozuna and wife Anna; daughter, Maria Avelar and husband Marty; stepdaughters, Yolanda Ramos, Rachel Ozuna, Linda Mendoza and husband Jose; grandchildren, Yandel Andrade, Remiel Andrade, Addisyn Andrade, Leslie Andrade, Haley Garza, Marty Avelar, Matthew Avelar, Joshua Ozuna, Jayme Ozuna, Christian Ozuna, Aaron Ozuna, James Ozuna, Sergio Ozuna, Gloria Virgen, Adrienne Lopez, Carlos Mendoza, Beto Mendoza, Trisha Ozuna, Cynthia Sauseda, Vicky Navarro, Stephanie Ozuna, Alejandra Ozuna, Robert Riojas, Charles Ozuna, Michelle Dodd, Corky Dodd, Alex Ozuna Jr., Nina Ozuna, Mike Ramos, Rosemary Vasquez, Elena Padilla, Ruben Ramos, Sunny Ramos, April Fultz, Elvira Guerrero, Vanessa Ozuna, Crystal Lopez, Jasmine Jimenez, Jaime Jimenez, Kassandra Ozuna; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Deacon Jimmy Bill officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.

Pallbearers will be Yandel Andrade, Remiel Andrade, Matthew Avelar, Marty Avelar Jr., James Ozuna, and Marty Avelar.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to medical support staff, friends, family, hospice, and Notre Dame Church during this difficult time.
