Rita Taylor, 66, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on November 19, 2025. She was born in the Texas Hill Country on June 17, 1959, to Rolland and Lillian Kibbett, and grew up surrounded by the beauty and community she cherished all her life.

Rita married the love of her life, Raymond Taylor, on December 3, 1978. Together they built a strong, faith-filled home and shared a devoted marriage that lasted 47 years.

A woman of creativity and compassion, Rita loved crafting, spending time with her grandchildren, going on cruises, relaxing at the beach, and serving others however she could. Her faith remained the cornerstone of her life. She trusted God through every circumstance, finding strength and comfort in Him, and instilled those same values in her children - teaching them to love God and love others. Her kindness, faithfulness, and servant's heart guided everything she did.

Rita graduated from Tivy High School in 1975 and later attended Schreiner University, where she pursued her nursing license. She worked as an LVN for many years, beginning at Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital and concluding her career with Surgical Associates of Kerrville in 2022. Her gentle spirit and dedication to caring for others touched countless lives.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Rolland Kibbett.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Taylor; her daughter Andrea Nin and husband Jose Nin; her son Derek Taylor; and her brothers Rolland Kibbett, Tony Kibbett, and Melvin Glenn Kibbett, all of Kerrville, Texas. Rita is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Carter Alejandro Nin and Jordan Hayes Nin, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Rita's life will be held at a later date in Kerrville, Texas.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the love, support, and compassion offered during this time of sorrow.
