EMPLOYMENT: He retired from Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis where he worked as a Technician.
MEMBERSHIPS / MILITARY: He was a former member of the East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Elwood Elks Lodge #368, the Anderson American Legion, and the Elwood Eagles Lodge.
SURVIVORS: Wife whom he married July 15, 1966: Tena M. (Willhoite) Beckley of Elwood. Son: Tracy J. and wife Misty Beckley of Elwood. 3 Sisters: Reva Lois and husband Rev. Don Cunnington of Elwood, Deral Ann Beckley of Elwood, and Vera Mae and husband Gordon Etchison of Winter Haven, FL. Brother: Larry Lee and wife Becky Beckley of Riverview, FL. Granddaughter: Mayci Jackson of Elwood.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Mother: Cleva (Hurst) Beckley. Brother: Teddy Hurst Beckley.
SERVICES - TIME & DAY: 10:00 AM Saturday, June 29, 2002
FUNERAL LOCATION: Copher & Fesler Funeral Home in Elwood.
OFFICIATING: Rev. Roger Gardner of the East Main Street Christian Church.
INTERMENT / ENTOMBMENT: Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery.
VISITATION - TIME, DAY, PLACE: 4 to 8 PM Friday, June 28, 2002 at Copher & Fesler Funeral Home.
LODGE / ROSARY / MILITARY SERVICE: The Elwood Elks Lodge #368 will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Elwood V.F.W. 5782.

I AM VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MY PARYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I SEEN THE PICTURE IN THE NEWSPAPER AND IN ALL THE YEARS I HAVE SEEN YOUR HUSBAND I NEVER KNEW HIS NAME, I SO SORRY.I GUESS BECOZ HE DROVE IN I GAVE HIM WANT HE WANTED HE GAVE ME MONEY. WE SHOT THE BULL BUT I NEVER REMEMBER HIM EVER TELLING ME HIS NAME. HE WAS A VERY SWEET GUY. I WILL SURE MISS HIM.HE WAS 1 OF MY EARLY MORNING PEOPLE WHO WASN'T GRUMPY. HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE AND SAID THANK YOU HON.
I THOUGHT OF COMING TO THE FUNERAL HOME BUT THEN IT WAS LIKE I WOULD BE OUT OF PLACE NOT KNOWING THE FAMILY BUT YOU SURE ARE IN MY THOUGHTS. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
